What is Event Marketing…
(aka Experiential Marketing)
Event Marketing (also called Experiential Marketing) is a strategy where brands promote products or services through live, in-person or virtual experiences — like trade shows, product launches, pop-up activations, conferences, or branded events — rather than through traditional ads.
The core idea is engagement over interruption: instead of just telling people about a product, the brand lets them experience it directly (sample it, interact with it, participate in something memorable). This is meant to build stronger emotional connections, generate word-of-mouth and social sharing, and create a more lasting impression than a passive ad would.
Common examples: brand activation booths at festivals, immersive pop-up installations, live product demos, sponsored experiences at sporting events, and interactive trade show exhibits.
